Meeting my Embodied and Sexual Self

— MALTA —

Living in a more embodied way and being in touch with our sexual self is not easy in today’s world. Our daily rhythms, social messages about sex and the body, trauma of various kinds, as well as sexual and body shame that we internalised when growing up all disconnect us from what makes us feel alive: our body and our sexuality.

If you desire to become a more embodied person, develop the way you experience and live out your sexuality, and connect with a small group of other people who are on a similar journey to yours, then you’ve come to the right place!

Throughout the workshop you will have the opportunity to learn more about yourself and how you relate to others as well as deepen your experience of your intimacy and sexuality. The workshop offers you a space to explore more how you can align yourself to your needs and desires in order to become a more embodied and sexually-integrated person. To facilitate your process and be able to step into the more vulnerable parts of yourself, we do our utmost to create a safe, trusting and caring environment.

  • Have the courage to clearly express what you need and want
  • Be more rooted in your body
  • Slow down and be more present in the here-and-now
  • Integrate your thoughts, emotions, behaviours and body sensations

  • Develop the use of breath and movement as a way of being present and connected
  • Getting to know more your erotic self
  • Heal through some some impacts of sexual or body trauma that you might have experienced
  • Connect to your pelvis as a source of empowerment rather than shame
  • Learn to be more vulnerable in a safe way
  • Reduce shame through connection with others

The setting

The workshop is split onto two days. The first day is focused mainly on getting in touch with yourself as an embodied being. The second day is focused primarily on deepening the connection with yourself as a sexual being.

In order to be able to delve as deeply as is comfortable for you, there is the option of joining us either for both days or for the first day only. If, during the first day, you decide that you want to join us for the second day as well, please let us know. In order to respect the trust that would have developed among participants, it isn’t possible to join us only for the second day.

During this workshop you can expect solo, partner and group activities. We offer you a safe and confidential space during the workshop and you alone decide how far you want to engage with the activities that we propose. Any exercises that involve other people are always based on mutual consent and you can stop at any time. At the same time, we do invite you to step out of your comfort zone as this is how growth happens!

This workshop is open to people of all genders and sexualities.

What others have said

Michael and all the participants created a very welcoming and safe space throughout the workshop. This allowed me to be vulnerable and focus on my growth. The workshop was a priceless experience and now I feel much more in touch with myself and my needs, both physically and emotionally.

Jeremy, Malta

I was initially quite anxious. However, from the very beginning until the end, Michael’s approach made me feel much more at ease. Both days were very progressional which helped me build trust in the process.

I left having gained insight about my body and my self I could have never gained without the experience I gained at the workshop

Josh, Malta

Michael takes great care to create a safe space which is both intimate and comfortable, and thus, some really powerful changes can take place. The focus is on practicing techniques to pinpoint a sense of outer awareness, and inner awareness, allowing convergence through the prism of the body. It’s a great opportunity, whether you’re looking to ask yourself some tough questions, or even just to try a novel perspective.

Practical matters

Many exercises will involve different kinds of movement. Although you can always regulate how physically active you are during the activities, it’s important that you’re physically healthy, able to get up from the floor on your own and fit enough to sit comfortably cross-legged on the floor for about 20 minutes.

Please come to the workshop wearing comfortable clothing (think yoga, Pilates, fitness). During the workshop, you are always free to decide how much clothing to have on you and you’ll be invited to honestly check this out with yourself. In order to facilitate this choice, it would be helpful to wear clothes that make it easy for you to remove or add layers of clothing. Remember that you’re always in complete control of what you wear at any point in time.

Water, tea and some healthy snacks will be provided during the break times. Please bring your own lunch or grab something from a nearby location (we will have a break of 1 hour). It is advisable to stick to a lighter lunch due to the activities we will be doing.
